Ergonomic Desk Chairs - Why Maintaining Good Posture is Critical to Spine Health

Research has shown that bad seating posture and back pain are closely correlated. In the U.S., about 31 million people are suffering with lower back pain at any given time. On average, one third have visited their physicians within the past five years due to lumbar or lower back pains. 55 percent of all such incidences are posture and ergonomically related. Ergonomic desk chairs is the first step to prevention and maintenance of good posture.

Sadly, a lot of people are still unaware of the fact that posture is the number one factor in maintaining good spine health. It is also the easiest and efficient approach to nurse your lower back and neck pains back to health. Needless to say, spine health is critical to your basic daily physical functioning.

If you disregard proper sitting posture and ignore appropriate lumber support, you are essentially putting even more stress onto your spine and inadvertently increasing the incidences of back and neck pain. Compounding your pain is endless fatigue. headaches, and even breathing difficulties. Once you are afflicted by them, it will take a lot of effort and a long time for it to heal.

Correct posture keeps the body fully balanced and supported in a straight line from the die of the head to the shoulder, hip, knee, to the ankle. Bad posture, on the other hand, basically includes slouching, hunched shoulders often induced by bad sitting positions. An ergonomic desk chair with good lumbar support pillow would greatly reduce the back tension induced.

Apart from help with ergonomic desk chairs and the lumbar support pillow, you need a fair amount of self discipline to maintain good posture almost every waking moment of your day. This would come as a conscious effect which will eventually become second nature to you once you practice it long enough. The long term benefits of good posture cannot be ignored, and with more of us indulging in lazy couches and slouching positions, ergonomic desk chairs and lumbar support pillows are all the more important to your spine health.
